Pastor (Mrs.) Vicky Igbokwe is a blessed woman of God and dynamic, a combination of beauty, brains and God’s blessings. She hails from Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, she has a Ghanaian maternal background. After receiving the call into Christian Ministry, she attended the prestigious Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI), 1995 and 1996.
She is the convener of the popular Innerlife Conference, an inter-denominational forum which houses various aspects of her ministry . She is also the President of Vessels of Honour Fellowship where she ministers to women of all ages and classes. She believes that beyond the kitchen and labour room, every woman possesses potentials that could enable them influence their family, society and the nation at large. This has become a motivating factor in her life. Her drive is to help make you the complete woman- Spirit, Soul and Body.
Her hobbies include dancing, cooking and listening to people. She is happily married to God’s Servant, Rev. Vincent Igbokwe, who is the Senior Pastor of Faithlife Christian Centre.
Who’s pastor Vicky Igbokwe?
Pastor Vicky Igbokwe is a dynamic woman of God. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Administration and Development from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She was saved at the tender age of thirteen while attending secondary school at Federal Government College, Akure.
She is the convener of the popular Innerlife Conference, an inter-denominational forum which houses the various aspects of her ministry such as singles breakthrough summit, widows concert, Couples get together and Healing for your Emotions. She encourages singles to get a life and the married to keep loving. The ministry which is spreading fast cuts across the nation and the United Kingdom.
Pastor Vicky is happily married to Pastor Vincent Igbokwe, who is the Lead Pastor of Faithlife Christian Centre and they are blessed with four wonderful Children: James, Joyce, Amy and David.
Tell us about vision /initiatives for members of your ministry and the public?
The vision of my ministry which is Innerlife circle Is to strengthen the bonds of families and to bring healing to the broken hearted.
How far has your programme Innerlife Circle been able to reflect on the aspirations of the participants?
Testimonies abound on the impact Innerlife circles has had on the lives of the participants. It would be impossible to recount them all in this short interview. But suffice it to say that We’ve been able to help restore broken homes, teach families to live together in love and peace and even teach singles and young people to maximize their time, living above habits to find fulfillment in life. How’s life as a pastor’s wife and being a mother of four?
Interesting and at the same time challenging. As a Pastor’s wife, demands are placed on me from the ministry fronts. I occupy roles as the church administrator, the head of the married team and I’m also a Branch Pastor. And as a wife and mother, demands are placed on me from the home fronts too; to take care of my husband and my children. But I am not complaining. God has been faithful.
Single parenting seems to be common these days. What are the likely causes of it and ways to be avoided?
One of the major causes of single parenting is when people are raised up in a dysfunctional parenting environment. It affects how they see and understand marriage. They grow up with this unhealthy perception of what a good marriage ought to be.
Secondly another cause is when people find it very difficult to manage their emotions so they get involved premarital sex. This naturally opens the door to so many ills including single parenting.
Ways to avoid single parenting is for those that grew up in a dysfunctional parenting environment to seek proper counselling sessions and attend special seminars on proper parenting so that they don’t make the mistakes their parents made. And secondly people should say no to premarital sex.
If not ministry, what would you have done?
I would probably have been a Professional Caterer.
